The Ultimate Biscuit Recipe

'Anything' Biscuits!
This is the ultimate biscuit recipe; these are those "anyway you want, that's the way you need it" biscuits! You take a few simple ingredients, blend them together, then add whatever additional flavorings you want to suit the occasion! Strawberry Shortcake? These work for that. Cheesy Biscuits? Just grate in some raw cheddar! Want a little bit of everything? Dice up garlic, onions, cheese, throw in some herbs, and mix them all into the dough!
You want to know the best part? They take about 7 minutes to whip up. See what I mean when I say they're the end all be all biscuits? They don't crumble, they're delicious, and they're packed with protein.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Almond Flour/Meal
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl combine Almond Flour and Coconut Flour.
  3. Beat your eggs together with the honey and water.
  4. Combine the egg mixture with the flour mixture completely, then let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. This is where your creative becomes an endless source of deliciousness that bends to your every whim! Chop up some of whatever you have your fridge that sounds good. You can really play with the amounts to what looks good. This do is going to be a little sticky no matter what, so don't worry too much about the consistency. Here are some ideas:
-Onion  -Garlic  -Bragg's Herb mix  -Raisins  -Sea Salt and Pepper  -Vanilla Extract  -Chia Seeds w/ Lemon Extract  -Raw Cheese  -Maple Syrup
  6. After you combine your choice of flavor, let the mixture sit for another 5 minutes.
  7. Grease the bottom of a baking pan (I use a glass Pyrex) with butter or coconut oil, then form little biscuit patties with your hands (they should be about the size of a Pillsbury biscuit...except so much healthier and delicious...) and place them in the greased pan. I like to top them with butter and a little extra of whatever I mixed into them such as onions, herbs, cheese; I think it makes them prettier >_<
  8. Bake in the oven for approximately 15 minutes or until they are golden brown on the bottom.
  9. Let cool for at least 5 minutes or as long as you can stand it! Eat with butter or strawberries or dinner.
  10. Make about 1 1/2 dozen depending on the size of your biscuits. Will keep in the fridge for several days (but they've never stuck around too long in my house...)
  11. Enjoy!
